We are thrilled to invite you to the inaugural edition of a truly extraordinary fishing event – the “WPC 24 Hours of Kampen”!
This unique tournament is a spectacular addition to our internationally renowned World Predator Classic (WPC) and sets an entirely new benchmark in competitive fishing.
The concept is simple: 24 hours, on a boat – a competition reminiscent of the legendary 24-hour races at Le Mans or Nürburgring, but transferred to the exciting world of fishing. Teams from across Europe will face one of the toughest and most exhilarating challenges in angling in the stunning IJsselmeer-area of Kampen.
You can compete in two categories
24 hours of fishing requires more than just endurance. It demands entirely new strategies. What is the best time to target specific species? How will teams divide their efforts – who will fish at night, and who will focus on the day? We eagerly anticipate seeing the tactics and skill of Europe’s anglers as they take on this challenge.
CATEGORY: 2 anglers per team
for those who prefer to fish in smaller teams.

The PitLane is a jetty, specially designed for check-in and check-out, which can be accessed directly from the fishing water and from shore.

What are the basic facts in a few words?

Is it for Pro Anglers only?
No, whether you’re a pro, looking to push your limits, or an ambitious angler seeking an extraordinary challenge – the “WPC 24 Hours of Kampen” is your event!
Will the 24hrs of Kampen replace the WPC Main Event?
No, the 24hrs of Kampen is an additional format. There will be two Competitions held per year. The “Classic” and the “24 hrs”
What are the basic Competition rules?
similar to WPC Classic Event, but a BONUS-Fish is added. Catch, Photograph & Release only. Perch, Zander, Pike + Bonus Fish
Is it just one day and night?
No, the event runs an entire week. Event participation will include a whole PACKAGE
What kind of Event-package is 24 hrs of Kampen, what’s included?
You will get:
1) Accommodation! A cosy holiday house, waterside, with bedroom(s), kitchen, bathroom, for 1 week
2) Your own boat Jetty! Moore your boat in front of your holiday house, for 1 week
3) Competitors BBQ-Night! A Party- & BBQ Evening in the park, you are all hosted in
4) the participation in the KAMPEN Flag-Parade
5) The Competition itself
The 24 hrs of KAMPEN is an entire week, together with fishing enthusiasts at the same place, finally crowned by a 24hrs fishing competition.
What are the basics about the PIT-LANE?
in CATEGORY 2 ANGLERS (1 boat):
A maximum fishing time is set. Angler have to “pause” (charge, refuel, rest…) within the 24hrs over all. They will come back to PIT-LANE to check in and out at this central area at least once during the 24 hrs,
in CATEGORY 4 ANGLERS (2 boats):
A maximum fishing time per boat is set. Boats will substitute each other (boat change) at the PIT-LANE. 2 boats will NOT fish same time and proceed a relay race with handing over at PIT-LANE at least once during the 24 hrs.
Can I win a boat, worth 80.000 EURs as I can do in WPC Classic Event?
No, the idea of 24hrs of KAMPEN is to spent a week together with other fishing fanatics, accept a 24hrs challenge and become WPC – 24hrs of KAMPEN CHAMPION in your chosen category. A TROPY will be handed over to the Top 3 Teams in both categories to crown the best 24hrs anglers. The Prize-Table will be filled, but obviously not similar to WPC Classic. Champions in both categories will win a FREE ENTRY ticket to WPC Classic Event.
How can I participate?
Thats easy: Just fill out the registration form. Registration might be closed after a specific number of anglers registered.
What are the costs?
We created a Competitors-Package-Event.
The entry fee for 24 hrs of KAMPEN includes all costs related to you your Accommodation, the jetty for your boat, slip-ramp-access, trailer parking for one week, and the event itself.
In CATEGORY 2 ANGLERS:
either 2.400 EUR total = 1.200 EUR per Angler (own holiday house with min. 2 beds incl.)
or 1.600 EUR total = 800 EUR per Angler (own holiday house with min 4 beds incl. if you share a holiday house with another competing team)
In CATEGORY 4 ANGLERS:
3.200 EUR total = 800 EUR per Angler (own holiday house with min. 4 beds incl.)
What is the Event Date?
The WPC 24hrs of KAMPEN will be held from 22. June – 29. June 2025 in Kampen, NL
Fishing area is around Kampen, Ketelmeer, River Ijssel-areas and more.
It is a full week of Competition / Event?
You will get access to your house, jetty and more for an entire week. You may use this week for pre-fishing and get in touch with the area around Kampen. The 24hrs will be held end of the week.
Is there a rough program already?
Yep, the basic program is:
Monday:
Arrive and check in your holiday house
Tuesday + Wednesday: PreFishing
Thursday: latest arrival and Check In.
+ Possibly a Qualifying-Day to get your event start number
+ the BBQ Night
Friday Evening: competition start
Saturday: Evening competition end and Party/Prizegiving
Sunday: Check Out (late Check out after a looong rest)
Can I shorten and just show up End of the week?

You want to invite additional crew members for maintenance of you boat or to assist at PIT-LANE? For media and coverage? Or just for fun and backup? You want to get some family members involved? There is a spare bed in each house included! (might be a sofa bed). Additional crew member can be accommodated without extra costs.
WHEN AND HOW CAN I REGISTER?
In Sptember 2024, the WPC Management will run a test event to figure out last details of competition rules and basics. After the “tryout” Testrun, the last details will be adjusted and the official registration opened.
