WPC C.A.S.T.
Choice of Angling Style & Technology
One WPC. More ways to prove your skill.
Live-sonar fishing has introduced a remarkable new level of precision to competitive angling. Locating individual fish, interpreting real-time images and converting that information into exceptional catches requires experience, concentration and outstanding skill. The World Predator Classic respects these achievements and remains fully open to technological progress. Positive future forward.
At the same time, live-sonar fishing and fishing without real-time imaging place different demands on competitors. Their results appear on the same leaderboard, but the skills and approaches behind them are increasingly difficult to compare directly.
WPC C.A.S.T. provides a positive solution.
It is not a ban.
It’s a choice!
Teams may voluntarily choose to compete without live-sonar technology and enter the dedicated C.A.S.T. classification. Live-sonar transducers may not be used and, where installed, will be disconnected and officially sealed.
C.A.S.T. teams remain full participants in the World Predator Classic. Their catches count towards the shared WPC leaderboard and simultaneously towards the C.A.S.T. ranking.
The highest-ranked team overall becomes the WPC Champion. The highest-ranked eligible C.A.S.T. team becomes the WPC C.A.S.T. Champion, being crowned as the best CAST Angler of WPC.
So, the C.A.S.T. winner earns a full and equally valued WPC championship title, trophy and Main Prize, broken down from the massive PrizeTable.
If a C.A.S.T. team leads the overall leaderboard, it wins both titles.
Different approaches. Equal recognition. One World Predator Classic.
