WPC New This Year

We strive each year to better the event and we listen to your comments. Given the many seals of approval already received we believe that you too will welcome the following changes:

NEW 2024

You may not know but since 2011, Angling Spirit & WorldPredatorClassic has in the background been conducting environmental clean-up operations and helping many children to overcome difficult situations by organising angling educational initiatives & events.

So in line with other events, we are introduced as part of World Predator Classic registration requirements that
a clean-up operation is being conducted by all participants.

SHORE CLEANUP PROJECT: PART OF COMPETITORS REGISTRATION!
How it works:
Clean-up registration can be done any time from registration time up to registration on site in Hellevoetsluis.
Preferably around water be it a river/lake or the sea but anywhere is good as long as you can make a difference to a site which is dear to you.
Always better if you can have friends and family joining you and make a great day out of it.
To get your registration as a competitor finally confirmed: You have to do a shore cleanup (wherever you prefer to do)
Take a minimum of 3 pictures of you and the trash bags you used and post them on your social media accounts making sure the post is set to public access for all to see. Email us the link to your Facebook and or Instagram post so we can see it and validate your entry or add @worldpredatorclassic to your post to tag WPC.
Finally make sure, you’ve got these pictures available on your smartphone to show during on site registration.

LEGACY PROJECTS
We want to make sure that the World Predator Classic maintains its status as more than just a fishing competition. We are extremely proud that over the years fellow anglers and followers sharing the same passion have created not just a community but a family around the event. As in all families, you should look after one another. Therefore, we want to ensure that World Predator Classic is also there to look after the future for the new generations to come and enjoy the passion of angling.

Friends Of The Haringvliet: The environment is for everyone, not just anglers. Show you care by :

* Refraining from using single-use plastic water bottles
* Disposing of any single-use plastic packaging prior to leaving your berth
* Returning any lines/lures to be disposed of in the dedicated event bin.

Fish Welfare: to act at all times with fish welfare in mind by:
* Using appropriate tackles
* Not playing fish to exhaustion
* Returning the fish appropriately to the water according to its species.
