World Predator Classic 2026: Records, Friendship and an Unforgettable Week in Hellevoetsluis

The World Predator Classic 2026 has come to an end – and what an extraordinary week it has been.

Anglers from 14 countries travelled to Hellevoetsluis to compete on the legendary waters of the Haringvliet and Hollands Diep. An impressive fleet of high-performance fishing boats, world-class predator anglers and a passionate international community created an atmosphere that could be felt throughout the harbour.

From the first sunrise start to the final cast, the WPC 2026 delivered everything that makes predator fishing so special: excitement, determination, time spent outdoors, spectacular fish and the shared experience of being on the water. It was a serious competition, but also a celebration of friendship, fair play and the passion that connects anglers across borders.

A Week of Outstanding Predator Fishing

With beautiful weather and excellent conditions, the anglers produced one memorable catch after another. Records seemed to fall almost daily.

One of the defining catches of the event was an incredible 131 cm pike – a new WPC record and a fish that will remain part of World Predator Classic history. Outstanding perch of 51, 52 and 53 cm added to an exceptional week of fishing and underlined the remarkable quality of these Dutch waters.

Every fish mattered. Every decision, every move and every cast could change the leaderboard.

In the end, Stéphane Poincot and Armaud Michaud delivered a truly historic performance. By winning all three competition days, they completed the World Predator Classic 2026 with the perfect score of just three points. It was a new WPC record and a remarkable achievement worthy of the championship title, the trophy and the spectacular grand prize.

Congratulations to our new World Predator Classic champions!

The Future of Predator Fishing

The WPC Junior Cup was another highlight of the week. Young anglers from different countries joined experienced WPC professionals aboard their competition boats and experienced the atmosphere of an international predator fishing tournament for themselves.

Their enthusiasm, courage and sportsmanship showed that the future of predator fishing is in very good hands. The Junior Cup is about much more than catching fish: it is about sharing knowledge, respecting nature, building confidence and passing the passion for angling on to the next generation.

More Than a Competition

The World Predator Classic has always been about more than the final results.

The WPC Marketplace once again became a lively meeting point for anglers, visitors, partners and some of the most respected brands in the fishing and marine industry. It was a place to discover new products, exchange ideas, meet old friends and create new connections.

Our partners and sponsors played an essential role in making this event possible. Their commitment, expertise and generosity helped us create a professional international competition and an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to the city of Hellevoetsluis, our hosts, the marina, our dedicated event team, marshals, volunteers, media crew and every helper working behind the scenes. Your energy and commitment brought the WPC 2026 to life.

And above all, thank you to every angler who competed with passion, respect and true sportsmanship. You are the heart of the World Predator Classic.
